Customized Wood Furniture for Conference Rooms Key to Project's Success

    SEATTLE, Sept. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- BOISE(R) Workspace, the contract
furniture division of Boise Office Solutions, announced today it completed a
major office furniture project for national law firm Perkins Coie to furnish
Perkins Coie's new 40,000 square-foot offices in Bellevue, Wash. Boise
Workspace provided space planning, design and installation services for 55
private offices, two executive conference rooms and one boardroom under the
project.

Perkins Coie cited Boise Workspace's ability to mock-up office suites for
employees to evaluate, its strong client service, and its ability to ensure
timely delivery and installation as reasons it hired Boise Workspace to design
and furnish its new corporate office space. In addition, Boise flew Perkins
Coie representatives to Chicago's Merchandise Mart to view a large variety of
furniture options first-hand as part of their selection process.
"Boise set up furniture ensembles for our partners and associates to try
and provide feedback on which furniture they liked," said Joan Byers of
Perkins Coie. "They also guaranteed the product on time, and were flexible
and very efficient with how they ran the whole process, which was absolutely
perfect."
When Perkins Coie moved into its new offices, the average office size was
reduced by 20 square feet for its partners and associates. To offset the
smaller workspace, Boise Workspace worked closely with Perkins Coie to design
and configure office furniture that would provide a generous combination of
storage and work surface to accommodate the large amount of paper needed by
the attorneys and paralegals.
To help give the new offices a clean, more modern design, Boise Workspace
designed a 22-foot long, custom-built maple conference table and custom-built
matching marble-top sideboards for Perkins Coie's executive boardroom. The
table, which contains an inlaid brushed aluminum design, also holds power and
data pop-up units for computer and Internet hookup, and embedded microphones
that are connected to the boardroom's telecommunication system.
