Innovative Gaming Device is Featured in First Ever Exhibit of Motorola Powered
Mobile Products
BOSTON, Sept. 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The range of devices powered by
Motorola's wireless and mobile semiconductors increased by one today with the
debut of the Zodiac(tm) mobile entertainment console from Tapwave. This
device, along with nearly 30 others featuring Motorola's Innovative
Convergence(TM) cellular platforms, i.MX applications processors and RF (radio
frequency) processors, are being displayed together for the first time by
Motorola's Semiconductor Products Sector in an interactive exhibit at the
Westin Hotel September today. The exhibit coincides with the Embedded Systems
Conference.
Consisting of phones, PDAs and converged devices, the "MULTIMOTO" display
illustrates the wide variety of products that run on Motorola's processors.
From the very first Palm(TM) products through the latest gaming devices and
smartphones, the display is only a small portion of the tens of millions of
devices powered by Motorola wireless and mobile semiconductors.
Both a gaming and handheld computing device, the Zodiac device from
Tapwave enables users to game an analog controller (joystick) found on a
handheld device, listen to music using the Zodiac MP3 functionality, watch
videos, view photos, and manage their life using one product wrapped up in a
light, ergo-centric package. Tapwave announced availability of its advanced
mobile entertainment consoles today along with an array of game titles which
can be ordered via its website http://www.tapwave.com . Tapwave selected Motorola's
i.MX1 applications processor for its ability to deliver high performance
applications with low power consumption using "smart speed" technology.
