Arbella Insurance Group Adopts Document Sciences' ReadyForms

Pre-Packaged P&C Solution Combines Industry Standard Bureau Forms and
xPression Content Processing for Maximum Compliance and Rapid Time to Market

CARLSBAD, Calif. and QUINCY, Mass., Sept. 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ --
Arbella Insurance Group, a property & casualty insurer, has chosen Document
Sciences Corporation's (Nasdaq: DOCX) ReadyForms as their enterprise document
automation solution. ReadyForms provides a library of pre-built electronic
bureau forms, complete with pre-defined business rules for automated forms
assembly, and delivery via Document Sciences' xPression content processing
technology.
"ReadyForms will allow us to spend less time worrying about forms-related
maintenance and compliance issues, and more time generating profitable
business and effectively servicing our agents and policyholders," said Chris
Steward, Chief Information Officer at Arbella. "By incorporating ReadyForms'
complete package of ready-to-use forms together with a maintenance service
plan, we will be able to save a lot of time normally spent building and
maintaining a forms library and will also eliminate the extra programming
costs associated with forms development through an outsourced provider."
ReadyForms leverages CCH Insurance Services' electronic forms library --
Uniform Authentic Forms. This library consists of bureau and state-specific
policy and endorsement forms, including ISO, NCCI, and AAIS forms, covering
all personal and commercial lines.
The forms library is built using Document Sciences' award-winning
xPression content processing services technology for creation, design and
automation of customer communications. xPression, using XML-based
pre-defined business rules and open standards, integrates with the insurer's
front and back office administration systems to pull the pertinent data and
content, and assemble the completed bureau forms. These forms can then be
delivered in real-time to policyholders, agents and brokers through print or
electronic channels.
"Property & Casualty insurers face the unique challenge of maintaining
hundreds of different bureau forms, and this challenge is multiplied by the
number of lines of business and states for which they write insurance,"
explained Neal Keene, Document Sciences' Director of Industry Solutions,
Property & Casualty. "ReadyForms streamlines forms implementation and
compliance updates, providing insurers not only with the up-to-date forms they
need to use to communicate accurately with customers, but also with the
pre-integrated business rules and automation technology to drive insureds'
information to the right places on the right bureau forms."
