Inc.'s (NYSE: HET) Board of Directors has been named the Top Performing Board
of Directors in Gaming by HVS Executive Search, an international executive
recruiting and compensation consulting firm.

The award was presented Wednesday at the Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas,
an annual industry conference organized by the American Gaming Association.
This marks the third year Harrah's board has been named the top board in the
gaming industry by HVS.

HVS used a broad range of criteria to judge the boards of more than
60 gaming companies, including the number of independent directors on the
board, and the overall size of the board; the attendance record of board
members, and the disclosure of attendance records by the company; the presence
of independent directors on active, key board committees, including the Audit
and Compensation committees; a lack of business ties to the company by
independent board members; a company's track record of community service; and
the determination of executive compensation by an impartial committee of
independent directors, using a consistent performance formula.
