Colonial Properties Trust Reports Damage From Hurricane Ivan

BIRMINGHAM, AL USA
    BIRMINGHAM, Ala., Sept. 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Colonial Properties
Trust (NYSE: CLP) has announced that the impact from Hurricane Ivan caused no
major structural damage to its Alabama, Florida or Georgia properties.  The
primary effect was to property landscaping with some minor exterior damage
being reported.  The Company expects the financial impact to be a total of
approximately $200,000 to the third quarter results.  Repairs and clean-up are
underway, and the Company expects to complete the majority of the exterior
work in twenty-four to forty-eight hours.
