NEC Electronics America Demonstrates Microcontroller and Display Module Products at Embedded Systems Conference Boston 2007

BOSTON, Sept. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Embedded Systems Conference -- NEC
Electronics America, Inc., today announced that it will showcase its
microcontroller (MCU) and display module offerings in booth number 1009 at
Embedded Systems Conference (ESC) 2007, September 18-21, at the Hynes
Convention Center in Boston. Demonstrations will feature an assortment of
NEC Electronics V850(TM) and 78K microcontrollers, in addition to several
industrial- and mobile-type liquid crystal display (LCD) modules from NEC
LCD Technologies.
    Microcontroller Demonstrations
NEC Electronics America offers a variety of highly integrated,
low-power 8-, 16- and 32-bit MCUs with both embedded flash memory and mask
ROM for consumer, mobile, medical, industrial and automotive applications.
MCUs from all three lineups will be featured. The company's low-voltage
32-bit V850 microcontrollers include DSP functions and on-chip peripherals
for consumer electronics products and other embedded applications. The
company also will demonstrate its ZigBee(R) wireless network solutions that
extend product life in applications that use low-power-consuming dry-cell
batteries, such as building, industrial automation, medical, and
residential control and monitoring applications. More information about NEC

    Display Module Demonstrations
With an extensive lineup of 2.7- to 23.0-inch active-matrix (AM)-LCD
panels and a network of distributors and value-added partners (VAPs), NEC
Electronics America provides complete display module solutions from NEC LCD
Technologies to the industrial, medical and high-end monitor markets. At
ESC Boston, NEC Electronics America will demonstrate ten modules, ranging
in size from 2.7 to 10.4 inches and featuring NEC LCD Technologies'
super-reflective natural light TFT (SR-NLT) and super-transmissive natural
light TFT (ST-NLT) technologies for viewing in diverse lighting
environments. These modules all have wide aspect ratios, high contrast
ratios, cold cathode fluorescent light (CCFL) and LED backlighting and
touch-panel capability, and are suitable for mobile and industrial
applications.
