Kimberly Ives to Serve as Immunex Vice President, Finance

    SEATTLE, Sept. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Immunex Corporation (Nasdaq: IMNX) has
tapped Ms. Kimberly Ives, to head its Finance Department, the company
announced today. Serving as vice president, finance, Ms. Ives will run the
strategic financial analysis, planning and daily operations of the finance and
accounting departments, reporting to Immunex chief financial officer and
senior vice president, David Mann.
    Ms. Ives, 39, joins Immunex after 13 years in global finance and senior
management with Atlantic Richfield Company (ARCO) (acquired by BP Amoco in
April of 2000). She most recently served as vice president, finance, planning
and control for ARCO Products Company.

to broaden our management depth and breadth," said Mann. "Kimberly's
experience and leadership promise to contribute significantly to our capacity

    Ms. Ives is a graduate of Stanford University. She earned her MBA at the
University of California, Los Angeles.
