COLUMBIA, S.C., Sept. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Edens & Avant today announced
the acquisition of a 36-acre tract in Pooler, Georgia -- a rapidly
expanding suburb of Savannah -- with plans for build out of 300,000 square
feet of retail space. The Company has the option to purchase an additional
145 acres adjacent to the site for a mixed-use project.
Situated at the Pooler Parkway/I-95 interchange, the site is in the
heart of Pooler's retail corridor and surrounded by more than 25 active and
planned residential developments. Trade area projections show the Pooler
population growing close to 200% in the next 10 years.

a retailer and residential perspective."
Preliminary plans for the retail center include a grocery anchor, major
discounter, junior box anchors, smaller retailers and dine-in restaurants,
adding to the already strong retail line-up in the dense two-mile radius of
the site. The center is one component of the 180-acre, master-planned
mixed- use development. The integrated community will provide services for
the area through a combination of residential, hospitality and office space
to compliment the retail center, slated for completion first.
