COLUMBIA, Md., Sept. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- GSE Systems, Inc. (GSE)
(Amex: GVP), a leading global provider of real-time simulation and process
control solutions for the energy and process industries, and General Physics
Corporation, a premier training company, jointly announce the formation of a
strategic marketing alliance.
GSE is the leading manufacturer of operator training simulators for the
Power and Process industries. General Physics is the leading supplier of
operator instructional training programs for these industries. This alliance
will allow a more encompassing solution to both companies' client base and
strengthen their respective product lines. In addition to cooperating in
marketing of individual products, the companies will combine some of General
Physics extensive training materials and programs with GSE's power plant
simulation models to provide truly interactive and adaptive total training
solutions.
General Physics also sees the possibility to expand its training programs
for certain products such as gas turbines, by providing interactive simulation
capabilities from GSE to train operators on both normal and abnormal
conditions. GSE sees the possibility to enhance its simulation offerings by
layering General Physics' structured training programs into a total training
solution. GSE will also help sell and distribute General Physics' GFE product
to GSE's vast international customer base. The GFE product helps prepare
operators for Generic Fundamentals Examinations.
Hal Paris, Sr. VP of Power Simulation business said, "For years, General
Physics and GSE have uncovered opportunities for the other companies' products
and services. The energy market is undergoing radical change. The industry
is faced with an aging workforce, and new construction is creating a demand
for new operators. As we continue to expand our opportunities in the fossil
simulation market we see opportunities for training that have not
traditionally existed. By formalizing a marketing relationship, we can now
offer more comprehensive solutions to our customers, and General Physics can
do the same with the integration of simulation into their training programs."
