HealthCare today announced the appointment of Steve Parham to the position
of senior vice president of sales and account management for the Carolinas.
In this position, Parham will lead distribution and sales efforts across
all product lines throughout the Carolinas.

grow our business in the Carolinas," said Charles Pitts, CIGNA HealthCare
general manager for the Carolinas region. "His depth of experience in
employee benefits will provide additional counsel to customers and

Parham will be coming to CIGNA after holding the position of vice
president and agency manager at BB&T, where he was responsible for BB&T's
largest employee benefits practice. He also held positions at United
Healthcare and Provident Life & Accident Insurance Company.
Parham received his bachelor of science in business administration at
the University of North Carolina, where he was a Morehead Scholar. He
presently serves on the UNC-Chapel Hill board of visitors. Parham is also a
graduate of Leadership North Carolina and Leadership Greensboro
