DALLAS, Sept. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Tom Hurst, former president of INTOOL in
Houston, Texas, has been named Chief Operations Officer for Global Industrial
Technologies' Ameri-Forge flange and heavy equipment undercarriage
manufacturing and distribution operation in the city. Global sold its INTOOL,
Industrial Tool Division, to Cooper Industries (NYSE: CBE) in March.
Mr. Hurst spent 35 years with INTOOL. He was responsible for doubling
INTOOL sales, and realizing an average 15% growth in annual earnings during
his six years as division president of what became an international company
for Global.
Mr. Hurst will be working with Ameri-Forge president Herbert Linser in
growing the Company's existing flange business in the $170 million domestic
market. His operations skills will also be leveraged in continuing the
startup of Ameri-Forge's new undercarriage manufacturing and distribution
operation that will serve the $700 million domestic heavy duty construction
equipment market. This new manufacturing facility is part of Global's
strategy of seeing Ameri-Forge becoming the first independent U.S. made
supplier of assemblies and parts to the domestic undercarriage market.
