Raytheon Aerospace Wins Navy Contract with Potential Value of $374.1 Million

    MADISON, Miss., Sept. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Raytheon Aerospace Company has
been awarded a one-year, $77.2 million contract with the U.S. Navy to provide
Contractor Logistics Support for 312 T-34C and 55 T-44A aircraft.  With the
exercise of four one-year options through fiscal year 2005, the contract's
potential value is $374.1 million.
    Raytheon Aerospace will provide total aircraft support, including on-site
maintenance, logistics, Aircraft Condition Inspections (ACI), technical and
depot-level support for aircraft based at Naval Air Station (NAS) Whiting
Field, Milton, Fla.; NAS Corpus Christi, Texas; NAS Pensacola, Fla.; 10
satellite sites and an ACI depot in Selma, Ala.
    The T-34 and T-44 aircraft are used for primary pilot flight training and
Naval Flight Officer training at the primary sites and special missions at the
satellite sites.  The contract is under the direction of the Naval Air Systems
Command, Patuxent River, Md., and Chief of Naval Air Training (CNATRA), Corpus
Christi, Texas.

    Raytheon Aerospace has supported the Navy T-34/44 program 19 years of its
24-year existence.  "This is one of our largest and most valued programs,"
said Grafton.  "We have worked for nearly two decades to make certain our
performance in support of the T-34/44 aircraft and training systems is world
class.  The Navy's continued confidence in our company is a wonderful
validation of these efforts."
    Raytheon Aerospace was the first defense service contractor recognized by
the U.S. Navy as meeting the International Standards Organization (ISO)
rigorous standards for excellence.  "I consider this the cornerstone for the

Jack McCorkle, Commanding Officer, Naval Air Systems Command, in a recent
written statement regarding the company's ISO registration.

the customer-focused leadership and vision provided by Errol Oller of Brandon,
Miss., general manager of Navy Programs, and Harold Lambert of Jackson, Miss.,
T-34/44 program manager.
