Bio-logic Systems Corp. Strengthens Executive Team; Appoints President and Chief Operating Officer

Hires Seasoned Executive with Extensive Strategic Planning
                     And Business Development Experience

    MUNDELEIN, Ill., Sept. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Bio-logic Systems Corp.
(Nasdaq: BLSC), a designer and marketer of computerized medical
electrodiagnostic equipment, today announced the appointment of Roderick G.
Johnson as president and chief operating officer of the company. Johnson also
has been elected a director to the board. This move represents additional
management depth to capitalize on the acceleration of growth being experienced
by the company. Bio-logic has been successfully expanding sales and earnings
over the last six months, and achieved a 69 percent increase in revenues in
the first quarter ended May 31, 1999. The outlook for fiscal 2000 is very
favorable as the company expects this early trend to continue into the
foreseeable future.
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Gabriel Raviv's technological
expertise, product development insight and business expansion capabilities,
partnered with Johnson's strong operational leadership skills, acquisition
expertise and experience with high-growth organizations, provides the
executive platform that ensures Bio-logic is capitalizing on every growth
opportunity.
"We are very pleased to have a leader of Rod's caliber joining the company
at this important juncture in our growth," said Raviv. "Bio-logic has been
experiencing terrific momentum this year as we realize the benefits of
investments made to build our salesforce, develop new products, upgrade
technologies, and penetrate new markets. In order to take the company to the
next level, we needed someone with proven expertise who could work with me on
strategic planning and business development, making sure that we are
addressing every expansion prospect, while continuing to grow existing
operations. I am confident that Rod's extensive management experience and
leadership skills will support that objective."
Before joining Bio-logic, Johnson, 50, was the founder, chairman,
president and CEO of the NeuroCare Group, a manufacturer of medical technology
products targeted at the neurosurgical market. From annualized sales of
$9 million in 1994, the year of inception, to more than $33 million in 1998,
Johnson built the company's management team, global sales channels, product
line and customer base through internal initiatives and the successful
integration of seven strategic acquisitions. Johnson's professional
background also includes two years as CEO-in-residence at Continental Illinois
Venture Capital Corporation, where he was responsible for identifying,
researching and negotiating the purchase of key medical device companies,
building a portfolio for NeuroCare. Earlier, Johnson held top positions with
Domino Amjet, Inc., Ecolab Europe, Ltd., and Baxter International, Inc.
Johnson will oversee the day-to-day operation of Bio-logic, allowing Raviv
to concentrate more fully on corporate vision in terms of product innovation,
technological advancement, and market development. Together, they will review
strategic issues, handle due diligence, and identify and review potential
acquisitions -- a new strategic direction for Bio-logic. The company has a
goal of becoming a $50 million business over the next four years, and the
combination of internal initiatives and acquisitions will drive that growth.
"As we continue to execute our growth strategy, and begin to incorporate
acquisitions into our plan over the next couple of years, we expect to benefit
significantly from Rod's considerable negotiating, due diligence and
integration expertise. After careful consideration, the board and I agree
that in Rod, we have someone with excellent skills who will provide the
company with long-term leadership," said Raviv.
