WASHINGTON, Sept. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Raytheon Company has named retired
U.S. Coast Guard Vice Admiral Timothy W. Josiah to the position of Director
for Border, Transportation and Energy Security in the company's Homeland
Security business. Josiah will focus on maritime ports, passenger, oil,
chemical, and other transportation facilities, and nuclear power plants, to
provide integrated security solutions to national and international border,
transportation and energy issues.

Josiah joins Raytheon following a 33-year career in the U.S. Coast Guard.
He most recently served as the Coast Guard's Chief of Staff and Commanding
Officer, Coast Guard Headquarters, Washington. Prior assignments include
Commander, Eighth Coast Guard District, New Orleans, La.; Coast Guard Director
of Resources; Deputy Chief of Staff; and Chief of the Congressional and
Governmental Affairs staff.
A native of Long Island, N.Y., Josiah graduated from the Coast Guard
Academy in 1969 with a Bachelor of Science degree. He graduated with honors
from the University of Maryland School of Law in 1980, receiving the order of
the Coif. Josiah is married to Marlene E. Rogers, M.D., of Baltimore, Md.
