CLEVELAND, Sept. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Cornelis "Kees" Verhaar has been named
Senior Vice President, Performance Coatings. The Performance Coatings unit
includes product lines related to Paints & Coatings, Graphic Arts, Engineered
Paper & Non-Wovens and Textiles Coatings. Performance Coatings is Noveon's
largest set of product lines and represents an important global growth
opportunity.

Prior to this appointment, Verhaar served as Vice President and General
Manager - Textiles for Noveon, Inc. He is currently based in Noveon's
Brussels, Belgium European regional office but will relocate to the Company's
global headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio, in January 2004. He will continue to
provide management oversight for Noveon's European operations.
Verhaar is a native of Holland with 20 years of experience in the
specialty chemicals industry. Before joining Noveon in January of 2003, he
most recently served as the President and COO of Johnson Polymer Inc. Verhaar
holds a degree in Economics from the University of Amsterdam in The
Netherlands.
