and successful teams in NASCAR Winston Cup competition, PermaTorqueMLS gaskets
have provided perfect sealing performance for Billy Glidden, National Mustang
Racers Association Pro 5.0 driver and team owner.

Glidden uses the 1137 PermaTorqueMLS performance head gasket.
    With extreme engine operating temperatures and cylinder pressures, drag
racing represents an optimum proving ground for head gaskets and other vital
components, according to Greg West, senior product engineer for the Fel-Pro
brand. "Drag racing engines -- especially those that use turbo-chargers and
nitrous oxide -- operate with very high cylinder pressures," he said. "This
pressure causes the cylinder head to separate from the block. PermaTorqueMLS
gaskets are engineered to maintain a perfect seal under these extreme
conditions."
    Fel-Pro PermaTorqueMLS gaskets were developed to withstand the growing
incidence of severe heat-induced lateral motion, or "scrubbing," between the
head and block. In addition, higher combustion pressures and a wider range of
other operating variables encountered in many late-model automotive
applications place undue stress on head gasket materials.
