BioSpace Unveils Sixth Edition of Biotech Beach Hotbed Campaign

unveiled the sixth edition of the Biotech Beach(TM) Hotbed Campaign with a
reception last night at The La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club. Joe Panetta,

    For the past 11 years BioSpace has produced Biotech Beach to highlight
Southern California biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies, industry
service and supply companies, research institutes, non-profit organizations
and universities. Companies participating in the 2004 campaign include Applied

   The sixth edition of the campaign features a new Biotech Beach Hotbed Map,

   The first edition of Biotech Beach was launched in 1993. The original 1985
Biotech Bay(TM) Map for the San Francisco Bay Area hangs on permanent display
in the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of American History.
