OAKBROOK TERRACE, Ill., Sept. 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- General
Employment Enterprises, Inc. (Amex: JOB) reported today the sale of its
staffing business assets in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for cash of $715,000 to
Generation Technologies, L.P.
As a result of the transaction, General Employment will add $715,000 to
its cash balances, will write off $1,088,000 of goodwill associated with the
2001 purchase of the Pittsburgh branch office, and will record a pretax loss
on the disposal of approximately $540,000.
General Employment provides professional staffing services specializing in
information technology, accounting and engineering placements. With the
completion of this sale, the Company has a network of 19 branch offices
located in 10 states.
