M2.0 Records Uses Piranha's Real-Time Encoding Technology
To Compress Full-Length Concert Onto a Single CD-ROM
DALLAS, Sept. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Piranha, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: BYTE),
an innovator in data compression solutions, today announced that M2.0 Records,
a Nashville-based record company, is using the Piranha Stream compression
solution to produce high-quality streaming media at full frame rates and
dramatically reduced files sizes. Piranha's technology enabled M2.0 Records
to compress an entire 70-minute performance of the Grammy-winning Brooklyn
Tabernacle Choir (BTC) onto a regular CD-ROM, while maintaining the
highest-level of video and audio quality. M2.0 will use Piranha Stream to
publicize its artists, encoding music videos, live performances, graphics and
photographs in real-time onto CD-ROMs for distribution.
