Pac-West Telecomm Announces Promotion of Kevin Maginnis to Vice President Of Sales for Wholesale Markets

    STOCKTON, Calif., Sept. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Pac-West Telecomm, Inc.
(Nasdaq: PACW), a rapidly growing provider of integrated communications
services to Internet service providers (ISPs) and business customers in the
western U.S., today announced the promotion of Kevin Maginnis to Vice
President of Sales-Wholesale Markets.  Mr. Maginnis will be responsible for
sales and service to the company's wholesale markets, including ISPs, enhanced
service providers, VoIP companies, and paging carriers.
    Joel Effron, Pac-West's Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing,

    Mr. Maginnis joined Pac-West in December of 1997 as an Account Executive.
In August of 1998, he was promoted to Sales Manager of Wholesale Markets.  In
July of 1999, he was promoted to Director of Product Management for Wholesale
Markets.  Prior to joining Pac-West, Mr. Maginnis held several management
positions including Sales Manager and Corporate Trainer for New Horizons
Computer Learning Centers in Sacramento, Sales Manager for a division of Scott
Fetzer, Senior Account Supervisor for Triad Systems, and former owner of
Positive Outlook Seminars.
