Maytag and I.A.M. Officials Reach Tentative Agreement on a New Labor Contract

    NEWTON, Iowa, Sept. 25 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Maytag (NYSE: MYG) and
International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (I.A.M.) Local
1526 jointly announced that they have reached a tentative agreement on a new
three-year labor contract covering production and maintenance employees at
Maytag's manufacturing facilities in Amana, Iowa.
    This new agreement is subject to a ratification vote by union membership,
which is scheduled by I.A.M. Local 1526 for Saturday, September 25.
