BellSouth Corporation (NYSE: BLS) today declared a regular quarterly
dividend of 29 cents per common share. The third-quarter dividend is
payable November 1, 2006 to shareholders of record as of the close of
business on October 10, 2006.
BellSouth has approximately 1.8 billion shares outstanding in about
620,000 registered shareholder accounts. This is the 91st consecutive
quarterly dividend declared by BellSouth.
