LEXINGTON, Mass., Sept. 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Raytheon Company
(NYSE: RTN) has appointed Jay B. Stephens, 55, as senior vice president and
general counsel, effective Oct. 7. Most recently Stephens has been serving as
Associate Attorney General of the United States.
Before becoming Associate Attorney General, Stephens was corporate vice
president and deputy general counsel for Honeywell International from 1997.
From 1993 to 1997, he was a partner in the Washington, D.C., law firm of
Pillsbury, Madison and Sutro. He served as the United States Attorney for the
District of Columbia from 1988 to 1993 and was deputy counsel to the President
of the United States from 1986 to 1988.
Stephens is a graduate of Harvard College and the Harvard Law School.
