The World is Awash in Pink Lights to Put the Spotlight on Breast Cancer
NEW YORK, Sept. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Following the triumphant spirit of the
Olympics, the world will unite once again -- this time, to spread the message
of breast cancer awareness. October 2000 Breast Cancer Awareness Month kicks
off with the Estee Lauder Companies' Global Landmarks Illumination Initiative.
The evening of October 2nd, from 6:30pm-8:30pm local time*, notable landmarks
around the world will be illuminated in pink lights symbolizing global unity
in the world's on-going effort to find a cure for breast cancer.
The focus of the illumination initiative will take place in Sydney,
Australia and New York City, as indicated below.
Landmark: Museum of Contemporary Art

Description: The Museum of Contemporary Art, which sits across the
