Reno Air Includes Middle-School Students in Inaugural Event

                       * Four New Daily Flights to Burbank

                     * San Jose is Now Reno Air's Largest Hub

    RENO, Nev., Oct. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Reno Air, Inc. (Nasdaq: RENO),
(PCX: RNO) today launched its new service to Burbank making San Jose its
largest hub with 39 daily flights.  Beginning today, Reno Air will fly four
daily flights to Burbank with the first departure at 8:50 a.m., an afternoon
departure at 1:25 p.m., and two evening flights at 5:15 p.m. and 7:50 p.m.
    Reno Air flies to several key business markets including:  Burbank,
Los Angeles, Orange County, Portland, Las Vegas, Reno, and Seattle (connecting
to Anchorage).  Additionally, cities available through Reno Air's system
include: Chicago, Oklahoma City, Colorado Springs, Vancouver, San Francisco,
San Diego and Tucson.
    As Reno Air builds its presence in San Jose, it shares a commitment with
the community to make San Jose a better place to live, and a city where
children can learn and grow.
    "Flying to Burbank is an important part of our new strategy to build our
San Jose operations," said Senior Vice President Marketing and Planning
Joanne Smith.  "This strategy is proving to be successful as we expect to
report third quarter profits."
    To demonstrate its involvement in the community, Reno Air worked with
City Year and school officials, in implementing an essay contest at Columbia
Middle School and The Burnett Academy.  Twenty middle school students,
selected from their essays, will fly Reno Air's first flight to Burbank and
will be hosted by Universal Studios Hollywood for the day.
    Reno Air currently serves 16 cities with more than 180 peak daily
scheduled departures.  Reno Air offers everyday low fares, advance seat
