California Agencies introduce Allstate Bank to local consumers
NORTHBROOK, Ill., Oct. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Allstate Financial Group
announced today that Allstate Bank is open for business. Consumers can now
obtain account and rate information and open accounts through Allstate
Agencies in California, as well as nationally via http://www.allstatebank.com, and
through the Bank's toll-free phone (877-794-BANK). The introduction of
Allstate Bank is an extension of Allstate Financial's strategy to become a
broad-based financial services provider through a wide range of consumer
banking products and services targeted at helping middle-income Americans
protect their finances and save for retirement.

Financial's portfolio of retirement investment products, which already

Allstate Bank's FDIC-insured products and services include CDs, insured
money market and savings accounts, checking accounts, home mortgage services
and more. Consumers can gain information about the new banking products and
services through 2,000 Allstate Agencies in California, via the Internet at
allstatebank.com, through a Bank customer care representative at
(877) 794-BANK (2265), ATMs countrywide or the U.S. mail.
With Allstate Bank customers can have around-the-clock access to their
accounts at over 225,000 ATMs, which display the Cirrus, Maestro, NYCE, Star
and or Mac logos. Customers can use ATMs to withdraw cash, obtain account
balances and transfer funds between accounts. To make deposits the Bank has in
excess of 15,000 participating ATMs available to customers. Allstate Bank
will reimburse customers up to $5.00 per month for ATM fees charged by other
banks and will not charge ATM fees.
