LEXINGTON, Mass., Oct. 1 /PRNewswire/-- Raytheon's Louise Francesconi has
earned a spot on Fortune's 50 Most Powerful Women list. Francesconi, a
Raytheon Company vice president and general manager of the company's $3
billion missile systems business, ranked 49 on the list.
Francesconi, 48, runs the world's largest missile company, overseeing
nearly 40 missile programs in production and development that support every
mission area of U.S. and allied military forces. The portfolio includes air-
to-air missiles, strike weapons, land combat weapon systems, surface navy air
defense systems, guided projectiles, directed energy weapons, ballistic
missile defense and advanced development programs. Missile Systems has more
than 10,000 employees at four locations.
