DETROIT, Oct. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Organizations in Indiana, Ohio and
Michigan are invited to enter the International Association of Business
Communicators (IABC) District 7 2004 Silver Quill awards.  The competition
recognizes the best in business communications in Indiana, Ohio and Michigan.
IABC members and peers from outside the tri-state region will judge the
entries and provide suggestions for further improvement.
    IABC/Detroit member Deborah Wilson and the Marketing and Communications
team at PPOM in Southfield, Michigan, not only won a 2003 Silver Quill, but
also went on to receive international recognition by this year winning a Gold
Quill award, IABC's highest honor in business communications.
    Discounted fees are available for members of the International Association
of Business Communicators and those who submit their work by the early-bird
deadline of Oct. 29, 2004.  The early-bird entry fee is $60 for IABC members
and $85 for non-members.  The entry fee is $75 for IABC members and $100 for
nonmembers if sent after Oct. 29 and prior to the last-call deadline of
Nov. 12.
    More than half of the work entered in the 2004 Silver Quill competition
must have been published, broadcast or implemented between Aug. 1, 2003, and
Oct. 1, 2004.  The Call for Entries form may be downloaded at:
