ATLANTA, Oct. 2 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Powell Goldstein LLP
announced today that Thomas R. McNeill has been appointed to the Committee
on Corporate Laws of the Business Law Section of the American Bar
Association. Mr. McNeill chairs Powell Goldstein's Business & Finance
Practice Group and Logistics Practice.
The 24 members of the Committee on Corporate Laws are responsible for
updating and monitoring the Model Business Corporation Act and the
Corporate Directors' Guidebook. The Model Business Corporation Act is the
model statute used by more than 30 states, including Georgia, as the basis
for its corporate law.

As Chair of Powell Goldstein's Business & Finance practice group, Mr.
McNeill concentrates in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions,
corporate governance, securities and international law.
Mr. McNeill's leadership continues beyond his positions at Powell
Goldstein. From 2002 to 2006, he served as Chairman for the Corporate Code
Revision Committee for the State Bar of Georgia and currently serves as
Vice Chair of the Executive Committee of its Business Law Section. He
serves on the Board of Directors of TerraLex, a worldwide network of 160
law firms.
Mr. McNeill has been selected by Woodward White, Inc. for its 2007
