Playboy.com Announces Deal for Web Site in Taiwan

                Playboy.com and KINGS to Launch Playboy.com.tw

    NEW YORK, Oct. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Playboy.com, Inc., a subsidiary of
Playboy Enterprises, Inc. (NYSE: PLA), and KINGS International ("KINGS"), one
of Taiwan's leading multi-media companies, today announced that they have
signed an agreement to launch a Taiwanese version of Playboy online,
Playboy.com.tw .
    Like Playboy's top-ranking, U.S.-based flagship site, the Playboy.com.tw
site will target the entertainment and lifestyle interests of young men.  It
will have a local, dedicated editorial staff based in Taipei who will create
original Playboy-style content, as well as make use of content from the
top-selling Playboy Taiwan edition, published by KINGS, and translate
appropriate U.S.-originated Playboy.com content, including extensive exclusive
features, popular streaming video and live event coverage.  The site will
offer a wide range of content, including love and sex, arts and entertainment,
sports, comedy, style and more.
    The site will mirror the multiple revenue stream model of Playboy.com,
including advertising, the subscription-based Playboy Cyber Club, and
e-commerce areas such as the Playboy Store and Playboy Auctions.
