ENGLEWOOD, Colo., Oct. 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Leading global customer
care and billing solutions provider CSG Systems (Nasdaq: CSGS) today announced

customer, VIN IQ.

Through a partnership with TELUS, several solutions within the CSG Kenan
FX framework -- including CSG Kenan/BP as well as CSG's Total Care, Request
Handling and Tracking, Application Integrator and Invoice Designer
solutions -- will provide back-office support of all billing, online ordering
and invoice functions to VIN IQ, an Edmonton-based information technology
company that specializes in vehicle identification number (VIN) remote
tracking.
TELUS is hosting the CSG solutions on-site, providing VIN IQ with turnkey
billing, ordering and online payment functionality to support the company's
customer base. This latest development builds on a partnership TELUS and CSG
established in 2003 to bring a comprehensive portfolio of billing and customer
care solutions as well as information technology (IT) outsourcing and managed
hosting expertise to enterprise customers.
"For companies in emerging markets, time to market is critical. Through
this innovative partnership, CSG has delivered all of the billing, ordering
and customer care functionality available within the Kenan FX framework as
part of TELUS' overall solution for VIN IQ," said Hank Bonde, president of
CSG's Global Software and Services Division. "This unique model, in which
TELUS offers our solutions to its customers in a hosted environment, enables
companies like VIN IQ to focus on the key elements of its market launch rather
than the back-office infrastructure needed to support its business. We are
proud to support this new customer through our partnership with TELUS."
"Time to market is critical in supporting new business models in the
marketplace," said Monty Carter, Managing Director, TELUS Business Solutions.
"Our partnership with CSG enables us to deliver a wide range of billing,
ordering and customer care support in addition to our world-class portfolio of
telecommunication services."
Last month, TELUS and VIN IQ announced a five-year contract under which
TELUS provides VIN IQ with a blend of IP-based products and services that
enable the company to conduct online ordering and procurement, billing and
payment processing, customer care services, reporting, training, asset
tracking, troubling ticketing, repair services and reporting product problems.
TELUS also plans to operate a 24/7 help desk for VIN IQ customers who use the
company's Web interface.
VIN IQ's "Q" is a portable wireless device that automates the way vehicle
identification information is recorded. Using the handheld device to scan the
vehicle identification number, the "Q" enables the VIN to be immediately
decoded and uploaded into a TELUS hosted database, providing law enforcement
agencies, finance and insurance companies, automobile dealerships and
prospective used car buyers with the most accurate and up-to-date information
about automobiles from across Canada.

About VIN IQ
The core of VIN IQ's business is the development of its proprietary
Gammamatrix Technology that has achieved unsurpassed accuracy in VIN decoding.
The system leverages the vast research the company has done over the past
11 years to create a hybrid VIN Expander. This software is accessed directly
over the Internet, and produces strong sales tools for the user. By decoding
and expanding the VIN, the user electronically obtains valuable information on
the vehicle, which previously was only available by physically inspecting it
and manually inputting the information into a computer.
