NEW ORLEANS, Oct. 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Entergy Corporation's
(NYSE: ETR) chief financial officer Leo Denault has named new finance leaders
to support the company's strategy and aspirations.
Anthony Duenner was named vice president, corporate development reporting
to Denault. Duenner will be responsible for leading the company's business
development activity including screening, analyzing and executing transactions
at both the corporate and business unit levels.
Barrett Green was named vice president, commercial analytics reporting to
Denault. In this position, Green will lead the development of the company's
point of view on economic, technology, environmental and regulatory trends,
and will oversee the company's investment approval process.
Michele Lopiccolo was named vice president, investor relations. Lopiccolo
replaces Nancy Morovich, who has been named vice president, planning and
financial communications. Lopiccolo will serve as the primary interface with
investors and analysts and will report to Morovich.
Morovich will be responsible for integrating strategic planning, corporate
planning and investor relations activities and will report to Denault.
Also reporting to Morovich is Drew Marsh who was named vice president,
strategic planning. Marsh will be responsible for developing portfolio
management and operational excellence strategies that leverage Entergy's core
capabilities to provide future growth.
Duenner has spent his entire 18-year career in the energy sector, first
with two major law firms focusing on gas and power and then later at Enron.
At Enron, he served in a number of roles including senior vice president of
global assets and services -- Asia, Pacific region. He remained at Enron
through 2002 when he became a consultant to Enron successors. Duenner
received his bachelor of science from University of Tulsa and his juris
doctorate from the University of Tulsa College of Law.
Green joined Entergy in 1997 and has been filling the interim position of
vice president, corporate development and strategic planning since Denault's
promotion to CFO. Green also held positions in nuclear business development
and planning within the company. He received a master of business
administration from Kellogg Graduate School of Management, a master in
engineering administration from Virginia Tech, and a bachelor of science from
University of Mississippi.
Lopiccolo joined Entergy in 1989, and most recently held the position of
vice president, corporate planning and performance. Prior to that, she held a
variety of positions primarily in the accounting organization. She received a
master of business administration from Tulane University and a bachelor of
science from Louisiana State University and is a certified public accountant.
Marsh rejoins Entergy following his role as vice president, strategic
planning for Entergy-Koch, LP. Prior to that, Marsh was director, corporate
planning at Entergy. Marsh holds a bachelor of science from University of
Notre Dame and a master of business administration from Kellogg Graduate
School of Management.
Morovich, formerly vice president investor relations, joined Entergy in
1992. She has held a variety of positions in finance and also served as chief
financial officer, utility operations from 1998 through 2000. Morovich
received both bachelor of science and master of science from Louisiana State
University and is a chartered financial analyst.
