Calpine Chief Financial Officer to Speak at Deutsche Bank Twelfth Annual Global High Yield Conference

    SAN JOSE, Calif., Oct. 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Calpine Corporation
(NYSE: CPN) today announced that its Executive Vice President and Chief
Financial Officer, Bob Kelly, will speak at the Deutsche Bank Twelfth Annual
Global High Yield Conference in Scottsdale, Arizona on Thursday, Oct. 7, 2004.
Kelly is scheduled to deliver his presentation at 11:15 a.m. PDT.  The
