Mimi Slavin Named Senior Vice President, Strategic Planning & Promotions, CBS Films

    LOS ANGELES, Oct. 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- CBS Films has named Mimi
Slavin Senior Vice President, Strategic Planning & Promotions, it was
announced today by Debbie Miller, head of worldwide marketing for the new
film division within CBS Corporation (NYSE: CBS and CBS.A).

    In this position, which reports to Miller, Slavin will oversee
strategic initiatives to support the studio's slate, and will work with
Miller to form collaborative marketing relationships with the diverse
portfolio of media assets within CBS. She will also be responsible for
securing and maximizing third-party promotional partnerships.



    Slavin comes to CBS Films from Warner Bros. Pictures, where she served
as Senior Vice President of Promotions, and spearheaded promotional
partnerships and programs for numerous domestic theatrical releases
including "Get Smart," "Happy Feet," and "Superman Returns," among others.
Most recently, Slavin was responsible for assembling the largest and most
lucrative promotional campaign in the studio's history for "The Dark
Knight." During her tenure at Warners, she formed alliances with key top
tier brands such as McDonald's, Visa, Pepsi and Comcast.

    Slavin had been with Warner Bros. since 1996, including an eight-year
stint at Warner Home Video as head of promotions, spearheading promotional
partnerships, overseeing retail-specific programs, and acting as the home
video liaison for cross-company programs.

    Prior to joining Warner Bros., Slavin was Director of Promotions for
Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment, where she created partnerships
for classic re-releases such as "The Sound of Music" and "My Fair Lady," as
well as for the Home Video releases of new productions.

    Slavin holds a B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley and
an M.B.A. from the University of Southern California.
