that the firm's healthcare group served as underwriter or advisor in nine
transactions totaling approximately $350 million during the first nine months
of 1998, the group's second year of existence. The transactions included
three initial public offerings, two private placements and four mergers and

advisor to Autonomous Technologies Corp. (Nasdaq: ATCI) in its announced
