VIENNA, Va., Oct. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- GRC International (NYSE: GRH)
announces the formation of a new Modeling and Simulation Technology Center to
support the company's development and expansion of sales in the modeling and
simulation market. The M&S Technology Center will operate as a virtual
organization coordinating the company's projects in modeling and simulation
applications development, software engineering and technology assistance,
program office support, data development, and simulation-based analyses.
The M&S Technology Center is structured to provide a repository of
technical talent and information, focusing on modeling methodology,
development methodology, data and information technology, and computation and
communications technology. In addition, the new technology center will
establish business processes that will enable further development of
methodologies, documentation, and coordination of technical talent. It will
also be an important source of information for IR&D supporting GRCI's
corporate marketing and business development staff.
"For more than 30 years, GRCI has been a leader in the development and use
of modeling and simulation technologies and applications. Our models are used
to support a wide range of decision and planning processes -- up to and
including executive levels of government and industry," said GRC International
Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Michael Stolarik. "The
modeling and simulation technology domain is growing in importance to many
government and commercial enterprises. This center will be an excellent
vehicle to help us focus our modeling and simulation activity to better serve
GRCI's clients and capture new business."
GRCI intends to use its M&S Corporate Technology Center to provide its
scientific and engineering staff members with the means to leverage the
technical knowledge of all M&S practitioners within GRCI. This is the
company's first of several technology centers.
"GRCI is committed to remaining on the leading edge of management and
technical innovation," said Stolarik. "The Modeling and Simulation Technology
Center will be the first step in the definition of a set of technology centers
that will increase our organizational and operational effectiveness and allow
us to deliver even better products and services to our clients. It is our
intention to be a prominent source for the development and application of
modeling and simulation technology."
