Sunoco to Webcast Third Quarter Conference Call

    PHILADELPHIA, Oct. 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Sunoco, Inc. (NYSE: SUN)
said today that it will hold a conference call on Thursday, October 23, 2003
at 3:00 p.m. ET to discuss its third quarter 2003 earnings that will be
released earlier that day.  Those wishing to listen can access the call
through Sunoco's Web site at http://www.SunocoInc.com.  A replay will be available
for ten days beginning approximately one hour following the completion of the
call.  A number of presentation slides will accompany the audio portion of the
call and will be available to be viewed and printed shortly before the call
begins.
