RESTON, Va., Oct. 8, 2008 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Raytheon Technical
Services Company LLC (RTSC), a subsidiary of Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN),
has signed teaming agreements with more than 45 large and small business
partners to pursue the Army's Operations, Planning, Training and Resource
Support Services (OPTARSS) II contract.
Among the companies joining RTSC are Honeywell, Battelle, SAAB Training
USA and Oberon.
OPTARSS II is the U.S. Army Forces Command's multiple award, indefinite
delivery-indefinite quantity contract. The request for proposal is expected
to be issued in November.
OPTARSS II provides an expedited ordering process that will satisfy the
needs of the Department of Defense and U.S. Army customers. Under the
contract, task orders will be executed that address operational planning,
training, modeling and simulation, flight operations, mobilization plans
and execution, deployment operations, force protection and transformation.

partners and is led by RTSC OPTARSS II Program Manager Len Grasso. The team
recently opened an office near the U.S. Army Forces Command in Georgia.
