Widgetbox and Yardbarker Join Forces to Power Sports Blog Network

600 Sports Bloggers and Enthusiasts Now Connected by a Single Widget

SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Widgetbox, the world's first and
largest widget community and Yardbarker Network (YBN), a community of the
best sports blogs from around the Internet, today announce a partnership to
connect YBN's 600 bloggers with a single widget. With its boisterous
community of sports-oriented bloggers, including top athletes from an array
of professional leagues, YBN will power the Widgetbox Sports Channel in the
new Widgetbox Blog Network, and is the first exclusive channel provider for
Widgetbox.

Widgetbox launched the Widgetbox Blog Network in September, leveraging
its wide reach of over 1.4 million websites -- including 200,000 blogs --
and 68 million monthly unique viewers to facilitate connections and
community and help its members drive traffic and exposure to their blogs.
Through the creation of 32 vertical channels, each of which is united by a
single widget, Widgetbox helps bloggers derive more value for themselves,
their readers and advertisers.

The new Widgetbox Blog Network has already attracted thousands of
bloggers, and Widgetbox is pleased to sign on YBN as the exclusive provider
for the Widgetbox Sports Channel. YBN is home to over 600 blogs and
receives over 10 million monthly unique viewers. Each Yardbarker blogger
will receive a personalized widget from the Widgetbox Sports Channel that
showcases content from across YBN -- instantly connecting YBN bloggers to
each other and to the sports enthusiast community. In addition, Widgetbox
will be providing widgets for each of the Yardbarker verified athletes,
including Greg Oden of the Portland Trail Blazers and Darren McFadden of
the Oakland Raiders among others.

"We are thrilled to have the Yardbarker Network, the largest sports
network on the web, power the Widgetbox Blog Network's Sports Channel,"
said Will Price, CEO of Widgetbox. "YBN is the place to be online for
sports enthusiasts, and having their high-profile content from professional
athletes and fans in the Widgetbox Sports Channel will instantly provide a
central hub of the best sports content on the Internet."

"YBN has long believed in the power of widgets to connect members of
our network to each other," said Pete Vlastelica, CEO of Yardbarker.
"Partnering with Widgetbox allows us to instantly increase the traffic to
our over 600 bloggers through a virtuous viral circle."

"Including the YBN widget on our blog expands the breadth of great
sports content our users are able to enjoy, without any additional work
from our team," said Josh Scott, Founder of InGameNow. "Bloggers in the YBN
network bring unique perspective on the biggest sports stories of the day
and our readers benefit from the easy access to that great content that the
YBN widget provides. Being a part of the Sports Network is very powerful
for us as well, for when one of our posts is included in the YBN widget, we
receive thousands of incremental visits from sports fans who are active
readers of other sports blogs -- exactly the audience we are trying to
attract."

    About Yardbarker

Yardbarker Network (YBN) is the fastest growing men's media network on
the web, reaching millions of men 18-34 every month through a unique model
that combines the scalability of an advertising network with the original
content and brand loyalty of a vertical media company. YBN was born out of
relationships between Yardbarker.com and the hundreds of independent sports
publishers who "hung out" there to promote their content. What started as
an informal affiliation of sites with like-minded audiences has evolved
into a rapidly growing media company that serves advertisers, publishers
and celebrities in completely unique ways. YBN affiliate sites are screened
diligently for content quality and consistency, and each publisher agrees
to editorial guidelines that ensure an advertisers' high value campaign
will be run in safe, "well-lit" environments. YBN is based in San
Francisco, with offices in New York City, Los Angeles and Detroit.
