Reno Air Announces Consolidation of Reservation Offices

    RENO, Nev., Oct. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Reno Air, Inc. (Nasdaq: RENO; PCX: RNO)
today announced the consolidation of their Reno reservations function into its
Las Vegas reservations facility effective Dec. 10, 1998.
    The decision to consolidate the reservation offices was made in order to
be as efficient and cost-effective as possible.  "This move will result in
annual savings in excess of one million dollars," said Senior Vice President
Operations Bev Grear.  "And, at the same time, this move provides a better
facility for our employees, and enhances their career growth opportunities."
    All Reno Air employees who work in Reno reservations (approximately 135)
will be offered jobs within the company.
    This action is a continuation of Reno Air's effort to increase
productivity and reduce costs.  It will also serve to further improve our
service levels which have increased measurably in the last few months.
    Reno Air currently serves 16 cities with 186 peak daily scheduled
departures.  The carrier's state-of-the-art fleet of 27 MD-80 and MD-90 jets
has an average age of less than six years, one of the youngest all-jet fleets
in the industry.  Reno Air offers everyday low fares, advance seat
assignments, American Airlines AAdvantage Miles, a spacious first class cabin,
"EZtrip" ticketless travel, and full participation in all major computer
