    WHAT:
    As a sponsor of the October 11, 2000 San Francisco Small Business and
Entrepreneurial Forum, Netscape, a subsidiary of America Online, Inc.
(NYSE: AOL), will examine the innovative uses of technology in developing the
San Francisco Small Business and Entrepreneurial economy with local small
businesses, non-profit organizations, key City Department Heads and other
high-tech leaders.  Small businesses increasingly realize the value of

this economy.  A day-long work session at the forum will focus on global
technological needs and concerns for small business owners, access to
information and the cost of technology for small businesses, as well as the
digital divide.
    Following the work session, Netscape will participate in a presentation of
key findings and recommendations to Mayor Brown, San Francisco Supervisor
Mark Leno, members of the San Francisco Small Business Commission and key
