BOULDER, Colo., Oct. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Exabyte Corporation
(Nasdaq: EXBT), a leading network backup systems company, today announced the

North American OEM sales manager; and Brandon Hoff, senior manager of OEM
marketing.
"At this exciting stage of opportunity, we look to our superior technology
and sales management team to leverage Exabyte's market leadership position,"
said Bill Marriner, chairman, president and chief executive officer of
Exabyte. "Steve, Doug and Brandon exemplify the excellence we seek in our
management level personnel. We are privileged to have people of this caliber
working for us and with our strategic partners."
Orcutt brings more than 19 years of experience successfully developing and

as founder, partner and sales manager of The Add 2 Alliance, a manufacturers'
representative firm specializing in the sales of UNIX and Novell software and
peripheral products to the distribution/OEM marketplace. Prior to joining The
Add 2 Alliance, Orcutt was the OEM sales manager for Counterpoint Computers
Inc.
"Exabyte's international presence is expanding every day and we need
experienced professionals to leverage our global position," said Marriner.
"Steve's breadth of experience in developing and executing successful OEM and
channel sales programs, coupled with his understanding of worldwide markets
make him the ideal choice to represent Exabyte in the world arena."
Barger leverages more than eight years of experience with Exabyte. During
that time, he worked in account management and held several other management
and OEM sales positions, including regional OEM sales manager. Prior to that,
he worked in sales and marketing at AT&T Bell Laboratories and founded two
high-tech start-ups.
"Doug was instrumental in closing Exabyte's Travan business with Compaq,"
said Marriner. "I am extremely pleased to extend this promotion and
anticipate many great things from him."
Hoff has worked at Exabyte for more then nine years. He began his career
in the company's engineering department and achieved the position senior
manager of technology and business development before attaining his current
promotion. While an engineer, Brandon worked on the development of the
MammothTape(TM) technology from the concept stage to final production.
"Brandon has considerable experience working with both the engineering and
marketing personnel of our major OEMs, which make his credentials ideal for
senior management of the OEM marketing department," said Marriner. "Brandon's
extensive knowledge of the technology and his ability to develop and manage
major new business partnerships is precisely what Exabyte needs as we prepare
for the launch of our Mammoth-2 product."
