electronics veteran David Wood has assumed the position of senior vice
president and general manager for the company's North American business.
Additionally, Stephan Petix has joined the management team as vice president
of marketing.
Wood comes to GN Netcom from Bose Corporation, where he most recently
served as vice president of the Americas Sales Group. In this role, Wood was
responsible for increased revenues, spurred by extensive growth activity
through retail and wholesale distribution networks, including Bose-owned
retail stores and key partners such as Apple Computer. A true visionary, he
developed and executed comprehensive business plans that capitalized on
significant market opportunities and consistently fueled new growth and
performance.
Petix joins from Sharp Electronics, where he served as vice president of
both Business Development and the Mobile Solutions Group. An innovative
executive with considerable industry experience, Petix successfully defined
the Sharp Mobile Services brand and generated strategic alliances to rapidly
expand into corporate and consumer markets. Prior to Sharp Electronics, he
held key positions at Minolta Corporation, Kyocera Electronics, Savin
Corporation and Canon.
