HOUSTON, Oct. 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Apache Corporation (NYSE,
Nasdaq: APA) today announced the following executive appointments:
-- Margie M. Harris was named vice president -- human resources.
-- Kregg Olson was promoted to senior vice president -- corporate
reservoir engineering.
Harris has held leadership positions at several large firms. As
executive vice president, she established the human resources group at
Texas Genco, a wholesale power generation company. She also headed the
human resources groups at Integrated Electrical Services and Santa Fe
Snyder, an independent oil and gas producer. Harris was a lead consultant
at Hewitt Associates; worked as financial controller for the international
division of Continental Airlines; and started her professional career as a
landman at Shell Oil Co. She holds a bachelor's degree from the Ohio State
University and an MBA from the University of St. Thomas.
Olson joined Apache in 1992, serving in various positions of increasing
responsibility in corporate reservoir engineering. He has been vice
president -- corporate reservoir engineering, since 2004. Olson previously
was associated with Grace Petroleum. He holds a bachelor's degree in
petroleum engineering from Texas A&M University and is a registered
professional engineer and a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
