Organization Formed To Allow Clients And Partners To Influence Product
Planning And Year 2000 Business Direction
BILLERICA, Mass., Oct. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Peritus Software Services, Inc.
(Nasdaq: PTUS) announced today the formation of a Client Advisory Board.
The Client Advisory Board has been formed to provide Peritus' expanding
complement of clients and partners with the opportunity to influence the
direction of product planning as well as the Year 2000 business direction. It
will provide Peritus executives with benchmarking data and strategic insights
on the complex (and rapidly evolving) area of Year 2000 compliance. Focus
will include managing expectations, sharing client experience, and identifying
best practices in the adoption of renovation strategies. Studies will examine
strategies for maximizing growth, while increasing quality and reducing cost.
"The Board will be identifying new business ideas already tested by a
handful of clients that can be emulated on a much broader scale. It will
identify and publish breakthrough ideas and original insights," said Gerald
Hogan, Director of Product Management at Peritus. "A secondary agenda is
critiquing the popular wisdom and fad-like opinions that take hold in the
marketplace from time to time," he added.
At the meetings, the Board will present the notable findings and solicit
member recommendations for future development practices. "The benefit to
Peritus is that we will be better able to define and anticipate the current
and future needs of our clients," said Ted Swoyer, Director of Marketing at

insights into the issues surrounding Year 2000 renovations and will have a

The full Advisory Board consists of no more than six Peritus clients and
the President, Vice President, and the Product and Project Directors of
Peritus. On a regular basis, Peritus will invite additional members to join
the Advisory Board, both to reflect the opinions of its growing client and
partner relationships as well as to respect the time commitment of sitting
advisory members. The Advisory Board client participants will serve for a
term of one year. Each year, new members will be cycled into the board to
allow other clients to participate and provide a fresh stream of ideas.
The Board will conduct meetings quarterly at Peritus Headquarters in
Billerica, MA.
