Catalina Health Resource Extends Contract With Walgreens

New Contract Continues Direct-to-Patient Newsletter Distribution Through 2007

    ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., Oct. 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Catalina Health

signed a four-year contract extension with Walgreens, the nation's largest and
fastest growing retail drugstore chain. Through the agreement, Walgreens will
continue to distribute direct-to-patient communications through 2007.
    Walgreens plans to grow by approximately 450 stores per year, and will
continue to install CHR's proprietary software in those additional stores.
Providing targeted communications based on the National Drug Code number
(NDC), the software creates personalized newsletters that are delivered with
the patient's prescription at point-of-sale.
    The newsletters are designed to communicate behavior-based health
information that is consistent with a specific patient's prescription profile.
Newsletters include information about the customer's prescription, health
articles related to the medication or condition being treated and promotional
