Protein Polymer Technologies to Present at Rodman & Renshaw Techvest Healthcare Conference on October 22, 2003

    SAN DIEGO, Oct. 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Protein Polymer Technologies,
Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: PPTI), today announced that Company President and
CEO, J. Thomas Parmeter, will present at the Rodman & Renshaw Techvest
Healthcare Conference on Wednesday, October 22, 2003, at 4:00 p.m. ET.  The
investor conference is being held at The Boston Marriott Long Warf Hotel from
October 21-23, 2003.
