(Nasdaq: PTUS) announced today that it has trained more than 1000
renovation consultants in the use of at least one product in the
Peritus' AutoEnhancer/2000(TM) family of products to help clients reach
Year 2000 compliance.  The consultants, most of whom had prior knowledge
of COBOL, are now trained to perform identification and correction of
date sensitive items in COBOL systems and applications using the Peritus
AutoEnhancer/2000 family of products.
    Peritus' Renovation Practitioner Training focuses on how to operate the
tools and addresses renovation strategies and creative problem solving.

    The two to four day training sessions provide an intensive classroom
experience, heavily focused on hands-on learning. Courses are delivered
at Peritus' Billerica headquarters and at client and partner sites

audience, and may emphasize best practices based upon the renovation
strategy selected by the client.
