Call for Nominations for Fourth Annual Gaming and Technology Awards

 Honors to be Presented at International Casino Exposition in January 2007

    LAS VEGAS, Oct. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Global Gaming Business magazine and
Spectrum Gaming Group are requesting nominations for the fourth annual
Gaming and Technology Awards. The Awards will be presented at the
International Casino Exhibition in London in January 2007.
    Nominations are being accepted in three categories:

     --  Best Consumer-Service Technology
     --  Best Productivity-Enhancement Technology
     --  Best Slot Product
    This year, the organizers have expanded the number of judges from three
to five. The judges are: John-Martin Meyer, President, Global Gaming
Initiatives; Robert Russell, Editor, Michigan Gaming Law Newsletter, and
Governmental and Business Consultant, Fraser Trebilcock Davis & Dunlap,
P.C., Detroit; Marcus Suan, Director of Slot Operations, Boyd Gaming;
Bostjan Torkar, Slot Manager, HIT Hotel Casino Perla, Slovenia; and Claudia
Winkler, President, GHI Solutions Inc. in Las Vegas. Nominees for the award
will be evaluated during the Global Gaming Expo (G2E) on November 14-16,
2006 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Judges will visit the booths of
the nominating companies at G2E to evaluate the products and/or services.
Companies who are not exhibiting at G2E or do not want to be judged at the
show can also make nominations.
    "Awards are meaningful when the judges are knowledgeable and take their
task seriously. These judges are considered the best in their respective
fields, and these awards will reflect their standards of excellence," said
Roger Gros, editor of Global Gaming Business magazine, which administers
the awards program.
    "The Gaming and Technology Awards shine a spotlight on technology
providers that demonstrate that rare combination of innovation and an
understanding of the marketplace," said Michael Pollock, managing director
of Spectrum Gaming Group and publisher of Michael Pollock's Gaming Industry
Observer.
    Nominations can be made until November 7, 2006 for consideration at
G2E. Final submissions are due November 17, 2006. Winners will be announced
in the January issue of Global Gaming Business magazine and the award
presentations will take place at the stands of the winners at the ICE show
in January for display to all ICE attendees.
    Six sets of nomination forms and printed material must be submitted to
Global Gaming Business magazine for consideration. Companies that want to
