Accelerates Deployment of Integrated Communications Services
To Utah Small and Medium Business Market
STOCKTON, Calif., Oct. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Pac-West Telecomm, Inc.
(Nasdaq: PACW), a rapidly growing provider of integrated communications
services, today announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire
Communications Specialists, Inc. (CSI), a privately held telecommunications
company located in Salt Lake City, Utah. The acquisition will take affect
November 1, 2000. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed and the
transaction is not subject to approval by any governmental regulatory agency.
CSI has a 20-year history of providing telecommunications equipment and
services to small and medium-sized businesses in Salt Lake City and the
surrounding areas. Acquiring CSI's business customer base, distribution
channels, and experienced technical staff enables Pac-West to rapidly enter
Utah's small and medium business market, building on, and offering expanding
products and services to CSI's approximately 800 active business customers.
